After setting up the biodomes and nuclear generators, the first martians settled down and acclimatised themselves to a sun 54.6 million kilometers smaller, a time 40 earth minutes longer. Supervised operations began to harvest martian resources, but the martians, completely removed from earthly obligations, severed ties with Earth entirely, inciting an interplanetary war.
